Connecting cables with stranded copper conductors transmit measuring signals from RTD temperature probes, resistance transmitters, humidity transmitters, or measuring probes with a standard signal to measuring, control, and recording devices. The gold-plated contacts on the plug connections ensure that the connection between the RTD temperature probe and the connecting cable has a low contact resistance which prevents the measuring signal from being distorted. The locking mechanism also protects it against vibrations.

If temperature probes are not installed correctly their high level of accuracy drops when measuring the temperature in pipes. As a result, the correct installation location is the first step for ensuring correct temperature measurement. Ball valves, T-pieces, adapter screw fittings, and installation accessories are used for this purpose.
